In my most ideal day, my husband and I live tucked away in the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by nothing but God’s creation.

Tall evergreen trees stretch toward the sky. Mist settles softly over the mountains in the early morning. The air is crisp and clean, filled with the sound of birds, distant water, and leaves gently moving in the wind. Our home sits quietly in the middle of it all… peaceful, simple, and far from the noise of the world.

Here, life feels slower. More intentional. More connected to what truly matters.

My most ideal day begins quietly, before the world fully wakes up.

The sky is still soft with early morning dusk, brushed with pale pinks and blues. Cool air drifts in through a cracked window, and birds are just beginning their morning songs. My husband and I wake up without an alarm, feeling rested and at peace.

I head to the kitchen and make my favorite cup of coffee using our go-to coffee maker and my favorite ceramic mug. The warmth of the mug in my hands feels comforting. He prepares a simple but filling breakfast… toast, eggs, and fresh fruit… and we take our breakfast outside, wrapped in soft blankets, sitting together as the sun rises.

We talk about our plans, our dreams, and sometimes nothing at all… just enjoying each other’s presence. These quiet moments are some of my favorite parts of the day!

Wrapped in my soft throw blanket, I sit on a cozy chair and watch the sun slowly rise. The grass is still damp with morning dew. The breeze brushes against my skin. I sip my coffee slowly, listening to nature and thanking God for another day.

After breakfast, I spend some time journaling in my daily gratitude journal, using my favorite pens. Or read my Bible on my cozy outdoor chair, letting the sunlight warm my face. It’s my moment of stillness before the day begins.

By mid-morning, I’m feeling inspired and focused. I set up my workspace with my laptop stand, wireless mouse, and blue-light glasses and work on my blog. Whether I’m writing, editing, or creating Pinterest pins, everything feels smooth and enjoyable. I light a great scented candle to keep the space calm and inviting.

Around lunchtime, we step outside again for a short walk or sit in the backyard with a light meal and our insulated tumblers filled with homemade iced sweet tea. We let the breeze clear our thoughts and remind ourselves that slowing down is part of success.

In the afternoon, I finish my work, run errands, or spend time with maybe some of our family. Sometimes we listen to a podcast or music through our wireless headphones while tidying up or organizing some storage baskets. The day feels productive but not stressful.

As evening approaches, everything slows down.

We cook dinner using a very useful kitchen gadgets and cookware, then clean up and change into our comfy lounge set. The house feels warm and peaceful. Soft worship music plays in the background. Candles glow gently.

Later, we sit outside under the stars, wrapped in blankets, enjoying the quiet of the night. The air is cooler now. The world is quiet. Crickets sing… We reflect on the day, pray together, and express gratitude for the little things and small wins!

Before bed, we unplug from our phones and spend a few minutes talking, laughing, and encouraging each other. We end the day with prayer and hearts full of peace.

My most ideal day isn’t about perfection.

It’s about peace. Purpose. Presence.

It’s about living slowly, loving deeply, trusting God, and becoming the best version of yourself… one intentional day at a time. ✨
